Julia Wood is a partner at Rock Creek Energy Group in Washington, DC, where she focuses her legal practice on hydroelectric and electric power matters. Julia provides strategic counsel to a broad variety of electric industry participants on the Federal Power Act, Clean Water Act, National Historic Preservation Act, and other federal statutes affecting energy and water development. Julia has more than 20 years of experience advising on the regulation of hydroelectric projects before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, federal and state regulatory agencies, and the U.S. Courts of Appeal. She advises clients on project development, licensing, compliance, and in the negotiation of multi-party licensing settlement agreements. Julia currently serves as counsel in a number of hydroelectric licensing, relicensing, license amendment, and surrender proceedings.
