I Hear You, . . . I Think?!: Demystifying Section 106 Review of the National Historic Preservation Act

Time: 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM
Room Number: Federal A/B
Day: 3/14/2024

The aim for this panel discussion is to offer comprehensive education on Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA)—shedding light on its purpose (i.e., the how’s and why’s, relating to its operations).

Reconciling differing viewpoints from Tribes and stakeholders within the Section 106 framework is where the real challenge - and excitement - lies.

Attendees will leave this session with a better understanding of what Section 106 is and the rationale behind its mandatory implementation when the federal government is involved.
