Tim Ramsey

Tim Ramsey has been with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) since 2005. In his current role, he leads efforts to conduct research, development, demonstration, and deployment (RDD&D) specific to Marine Energy applications, supporting the development of new, cutting-edge technologies and the establishment of a strong and competitive Marine Energy industry in the United States. The Program provides substantial financial support to researchers at a wide range of different organizations (universities, private companies, national laboratories, and relevant nonprofits), to focus on solutions to high priority challenges broadly applicable across the industry. Prior to joining the DOE Federal Team, Tim worked for Navarro Research and Engineering, a multi-program support service contractor for the Department of Energy. Tim's previous experience also includes work as a tech development engineer for Mead Papers. Tim holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Ohio University.
