Tim is the Power & Energy Business Sector Leader for Kleinschmidt. He has been involved in all aspects of the hydro industry over the last 30 years. He managed the FERC licensing process for multiple hydro projects, including a 120 MW hydro expansion in Pennsylvania and the first Pilot license issued by FERC for a tidal energy project in New York City. He has also managed or served as strategic advisor on several pumped storage project relicensings and numerous environmental and engineering studies. Tim served two terms on the National Hydropower Association's Board of Directors and was elected to an officer position in each term. He co-founded NHA's Marine Energy Council in 2014 and served as co-chair for several years. Tim has served in several leadership roles within Kleinschmidt and is currently responsible for providing overarching strategy and leadership for business development and client service throughout the U.S. and Canada. Tim holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Richmond and a Certificate in Business from the University of Delaware. He has been leading the "Ear to the River" industry survey effort that will be discussed in this session.
