Funding for Hydro: Dollars are Flowing! Putting Financial Incentives from Federal Legislation and Appropriations to Work

Time: 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Room Number: Congressional
Day: 3/14/2024

Federal dollars allocated through the Infrastructure and Investment Jobs Act (IIJA), also known as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL), and through Department of Energy Water Power Technologies Office (WPTO) annual appropriations are beginning to flow.

How are recipients of these federal funds planning to put that money to work – project reinvestment for O&M, compensation for existing hydropower workforce and for new hires, exploration of new project opportunities?

This session will discuss various federal funding programs through the DOE and other agencies, as well as how recipients are leveraging those funds and their experiences with the application processes.
