Joanna Wischer currently serves as the Office of Management and Budget’s Deputy Director of Made in America. During President Trump’s first term, she served as a Senior Policy Analyst in the Office of Trade and Manufacturing Policy to implement President Trump’s Buy American and Hire American initiative. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she helped the Office of Trade and Manufacturing Policy coordinate the Defense Production Act to help industry ramp up domestic production of medical supplies and medicine to meet the public health needs of the American people.
