Jon Petrillo

Jon is the Principal and Owner of Riparian Strategies, LLC. with more than two decades of experience as a consultant and an asset Owner. Riparian Strategies embraces the asset Owner’s perspective to optimize the performance of energy assets by developing and executing risk mitigation and revenue enhancement measures. His training as an ecologist influences his approach to investment/business matters allowing him to identify and leverage system-level interactions and value-creation opportunities that are often overlooked. Jon previously served as Vice President of Business Development for Gravity Renewables, Inc. where he led all aspects of the company’s strategic growth; adding $100+ MM in enterprise value. While at Gravity, he originated and managed over 15 project acquisitions, spearheaded the business development team which secured over 20 power purchase agreements, and was awarded 25 grants and incentives with a combined value of $20+ MM. Jon also applies his background in the natural sciences, strategic mindset, and communication skills to navigate complex licensing and permitting processes. He holds an M.A. in Ecology and Environmental Science from Central Connecticut State University.
