Michael Kerr
Role: Panelist
Michael Kerr founded New England Hydropower (NEHC) back in 2012 to address the still relatively underdeveloped sector for small scale hydropower on existing unpowered dams in the U.S. He has built an experienced and successful team and set of technology partners who between them have many decades of experience in this sector. With several completed projects and several more in development NEHC has become one of the leading developers of new small scale hydropower plants. Originally from England where he had a successful career with Shell, he joined United Technologies in Belgium, subsequently moving to the U.S with them. After UTC and prior to founding NEHC he ran a number of software and IT services companies in the U.S. and Latin America. Apart from living on a plane he and his family have lived for many years on the North Shore of Boston, which is where NEHC is located. He is a graduate in business from Thames University, London and a English certified accountant
