Bryan Sojkowski

Bryan Sojkowski is a Regional Fish Passage Engineer working for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s (USFWS) Fish and Aquatic Conservation office in the Northeast Region, which spans from West Virginia to Maine, for the last 14 years. He obtained his masters degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering as well as a specialization in Fish Passage & Ecohydrology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2010. In the past 14 years, he has been involved in hundreds of fish passage projects throughout the Northeast ranging from culvert replacements, dam removals, and technical fishways to acting under his regulatory authority overseeing numerous hydroelectric facilities along main-stem Rivers along the East Coast. He is a native of Western MA who has been an avid fisherman his entire life and enjoys being able to mesh his passion for the environment and engineering together to help such an important resource.
