NHA CEO Council Meeting (Invite Only)
NHA CEO Council co-chairs Cesare Gremese, President of American Hydro, and Joseph Kessler, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of New York Power Authority, are hosts of this invited-only C-suite peer-to-peer discussion.
During this invite-only meeting, the executives will hear from Dr. Tom Rowlands-Rees, Head of Research for Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF). Dr. Rowlands-Rees will share important takeaways from BNEF’s just-released report, 2024 Sustainable Energy in America Factbook, which tracks trends in renewables, efficiency, natural gas, distributed power and storage, and sustainable transportation.
Looking beyond the hydropower industry, BNEF’s analysis shines a light around the corner to highlight market responses to the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and other energy trends that might illuminate the path forward for the water power sector.
Then, the leaders of NHA member organizations will break into two groups to participate in peer-to-peer discussions on:
Group 1: Supply Chain/Workforce/Resource Challenges, facilitated by Suzanne Biddle, General Manager, Hydro Generation, Power Operations, Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA)
Group 2: How the Evolving Energy Markets Impact the Economics of Hydropower, facilitated by Dave Culligan, Vice President, National Hydropower Practice Leader, HDR
